Writer John Ostrander has been battling glaucoma for several years.
Unfortunately, he’s grown resistant to the medication to treat his condition. He’s undergone surgeries, but the costs are incredibly high. I had the pleasure of meeting John Ostrander last year at a convention. My friend Michelle and I had a table and they sat us next to him.
Let me say that one more time: They sat two small press kids next to John Ostrander.
He was incredibly nice, talking to me about writing and comics and just general life things. It is definitely one of favorite con memories.
